Travelpoint customer satisfaction survey
Following an earlier customer satisfaction survey in 2024, active Travelpoint users who booked a trip between September 2025 and March 2026 will be asked to take part in a new survey at the beginning of May. This time we will be conducting a single, integrated survey in order to gain a more up-to-date picture of the customer experience.
The survey should give us insight into how users book trips and submit claims for international travel, and into the effects of improvements made based on the findings of the previous survey.
The results of the new survey will help us optimise our service and better meet the needs of users. Selected Travelpoint users will receive an invitation to take part. We hope that everyone will take a moment to do so.

Why use Travelpoint when you can book a trip yourself?
Travelpoint: central government’s one-stop shop for travel and expense claims
Travelpoint is the main platform for central government staff who need to book trips and submit expense claims for international official travel. It is used by nearly all parts of central government. The online application enables you to book a trip quickly and independently, that also complies with central government rules.
Travelpoint is more than just a booking platform. It’s a reliable travel partner that saves time and energy and ensures that official travel by central government staff is efficient and responsible.
The advantages of Travelpoint include:
1. Quickly the best options
Booking tickets on a travel site can be a lengthy process. You spend time looking at various websites, checking terms and conditions and trying to find the best balance of price and quality.
Travelpoint can do all this for you. In just a few minutes, it can show you the most efficient travel options that match your preferences and are in line with official travel policy.
2. Personalised and professional travel advice
The results of commercial booking sites are mainly based on algorithms. Travelpoint offers personalised advice from experienced travel experts who can take account of things like specific preferences, complex routes and irregular baggage.
3. Support before, during and after your trip
You may need help with a booking, a cancellation or missed connection, or an expense claim. If you’ve booked your trip yourself, it’s up to you to deal with customer service providers and long waiting times. With Travelpoint, a professional team is on hand to help you immediately and liaise quickly with airlines and other travel companies. You don’t have to figure it all out yourself.
4. Lower costs in the long term
A ticket bought through Travelpoint may seem more expensive than one bought via a commercial site. But it will often come with other advantages. Travelpoint encourages people to make sustainable travel choices, which in turn helps central government achieve its sustainability goals.
5. Clarity, confidence and control
Managing your own bookings means keeping track of your tickets, understanding baggage rules, checking terms and conditions and dealing with changes. Travelpoint provides clarity and control. Everything relating to your trip, from your ticket to conditions of travel, can be found in one place: your Travelpoint account. And if there’s any change, you always have support.
Travelpoint is more than just a booking platform. It’s a reliable travel partner that saves time and energy and ensures that official travel by central government staff is efficient and responsible.

Making rail bookings easier
If the specific train journey you are looking for does not show up in search results, try these simple tweaks:
- Book two one-way tickets instead of a return trip
Instead of a return trip, book each leg of the journey separately. This will often give you more options to choose from.
- Adjust the departure time slightly
If you’re looking for a train that departs at 11.04, for instance, try searching for departures starting at 10.00, or even 9.00. The train you want will usually show up among the results.
These two tips should make it easier for you to book exactly the trip you want.

Booking fees and other charges
The travel intermediary GDG charges a fee of €25 for each completed booking in a single trip number. So please book your flight, train and hotel under the same trip number if possible. This will avoid multiple fees being charged.
Please also bear in mind:
- The €25 fee is not waived in the event of cancellation.
- An additional charge for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) is added to flight bookings. It is not refundable in the event of cancellation.
Please keep this in mind when making bookings.
To contact the intermediary directly, use messages in Atriis
If you have a question about a trip you’ve booked or need to change something, contact the intermediary directly via Atriis. That is the fastest and most efficient way to get your question dealt with.
Important: do not use SSP or email for this. This will cause unnecessary delay, as these messages will have to be forwarded on to the travel request system.
How it works
- Open your trip number in Atriis.
- Click on the envelope icon at the top right.
- Send your message directly to the intermediary.
- You will receive an automatic email notification when the intermediary has posted a reply, for example to provide your travel options.
You can use SSP for questions about other issues, such as expense claims and error messages.

Good to know
- You can navigate directly to Travelpoint and Yokoy from https://www.sso3w.nl/travelpoint/inloggen. This page also provides up-to-date information about disruptions. Tip: add this page to your favourites, so it’s always easy to find.
- There is a special page for management assistants with information and tips about accounts, bookings and expense claims. Here you’ll find everything you need to do your work as efficiently as possible.
- Taxi drivers may not always provide a receipt if this isn’t customary in their city. In that case, you can include a written statement (in PDF format) as evidence with your expense claim. Only taxi rides to and from a station or airport are eligible for standard reimbursement. Other rides must be approved by your manager in advance and in writing. Keep this in mind to avoid rejected expense claims.
- Reimbursement for vaccinations and medications is limited to those prescribed by a doctor, with the exception of over-the-counter medicines for digestive problems and insect bites.
- Invoices for necessary medical treatment during official travel should be submitted first to your own health insurer. You can later submit a claim to your organisation’s travel insurance provider for costs that your insurer doesn’t cover.
- External guests cannot submit expense claims, since they are not paid via P-Direkt.
- When flying, always check in online, and remember to check for delays on the airport’s or your airline’s app or website. That way you can eliminate surprises and ensure you’re well prepared.
- On Atriis you can filter your hotel search results based on guest reviews and number of stars. This information is also visible in the hotel overview and price information.
- You may only use your own vehicle for official travel with your manager’s written permission, which must be included with your expense claim.
- The collective labour agreement for central government staff does not provide for an entertainment allowance (to cover the cost of meals, drinks or gifts that you have purchased for others). Such expenses cannot be claimed through Travelpoint.
